Record the room
Choose a course, name the lecture, press record. The transcript streams in live while you keep listening.

Capture the board
Photograph slides, diagrams, and whiteboards as they happen. Each image stays tied to that moment in the transcript.

Find the pattern
Stargazer reads the transcript and the photos together, then writes a summary, the brightest key points, and connections to your world.

Return to it
Save the lecture to your library, search the archive, and ask new questions of it whenever you study.

Lecture photo analysis
Every photo is read for visible text, described in plain language, and turned into learning notes that sit alongside the transcript.
Transcript-bound notes
Summaries, key points, and connections are hashed against the exact transcript and photos they came from, so stale notes never masquerade as current ones.
Grounded chat
Ask questions and get answers drawn only from that lecture — transcript, photos, and notes — with the sources that informed each reply.
Library and search
Lectures file themselves into courses you define. Search the full archive by text and reopen the exact notes you wrote.
Your world and journal
Optional private context — places, interests, goals, people — turns abstract ideas into metaphors you already understand. Keep reflections in a journal beside them.

- Lecture text stays on your device
- Transcripts, notes, courses, journal entries, and your world context live in this browser. They are never written to a server database.
- Photos are the only stored files
- Uploaded images are held on the machine running Stargazer, in a directory you control, and nowhere else.
- The model key never reaches the browser
- Every call to the language model is made server-side. Access is gated by a single password and an httpOnly, same-site session cookie.
